Framework For Coaching
This framework for coaching describes how a repeatable process supports an intentional, structured conversation on focused content. The outcomes become personal growth for the individual that are aligned with the business objectives.

DISCIPLINES:
Coaching Conversation:
- Establish Focus – session objectives, business targets, outcomes
- Discover Possibilities – options, opportunities, approaches, self, others
- Plan the Action – defined outcomes, set expectations, move forward
- Remove Barriers – identify, mitigate, remove
- Set Accountability – follow-through, exceed targets, ownership
Content:
- The candidate sets the content or agenda for the coaching conversations
- The scope of the content tends to fall into three categories: Products, People and/or Process
- Desired outcomes or goals for personal results are aligned to business results
- Modifying existing behaviours and developing new behaviours is vital to produce the desired results
Process:
- Orientation – set expectations, learn from others, quick start
- Interview – define development and resource needs
- Assessment – self-awareness, measure competency, understand behaviours
- Coaching – establish partnership, focused conversations, accountability
- Monitoring – matching, quality assurance, measurements, feedback
